tin top problems
hi all ive changed the alternator on my vectra v6 gsi because it had seized and snapped the belt i couldnt find a 100 amp one so fitted a 120amp unit
which i have been told is fine now having come to putting the new belt on it dont fit its about 2-3 inches to short ive rang the local vauxhall garage
and double checked the route its going and that seems fine ive also rang the motor factors to check i have the right belt (the air con one) i cant
work out whats gone wrong and where any ideas cheers adam ps ive thrown the old belt so cant measure it

Has the new one got a different sized pulley or are the mounting lugs different thereby placing it farther off the block/in a different place??
I have a 2.5 Omega and a Haynes manual somewhere if you need any more info.
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.
