Whippys back
Just noticed the Whipsters back online.
Been anywhere nice then?
Didn't get stuck in one of your own man made pot-holes did you...?

went to cyprus for a week and now I'm back, I'm doing the project schedules for a £55M windfarm project, so a bit busy right now...

I guess there is a 50/50 chance I'll be doing some work for it....

The Greater Gabbard offshore site, we're doing the power cable installation between the turbines, transformer platform and the shore connection
plus the cable mattressing. Big job really right up to mid 2011. Got so busy here lately that we've taken over the office next door cos we ran
out of desk space
It's only one of four farms we're doing so you'll most likey be on one of those

I know where you work now (AB32 6**)
I guess you'll be working with some of the same folk at siemens T&D
actually we've not done much for the offshore ones, not directly anyway
we do steel structures for allot of the onshore stuff (towers and substations)
I've done quite allot at and near Blyth recently and thats got something to do with an offshore windfarm connection I think

Yip that’s us, the cables are siemens ones. We're just a contractor working for Fluor, think there's about 5 different ones on this job.
All the wind farms seem to be hooking into existing substations onshore. Bit of a booming business which is nice, at least I don't have to go
offshore
