OT - Tintop exhaust blowing - cheapest replacement?

SWMBO's MOT is due in the next few days.

I have lots of time on my hands at the moment and was wondering if it worth me buying and fitting the exhaust rather than going to quick fit, sounds like the front collector box is blowing quite badly.

I will check properly, but before I do I want to see if its worth me doing it myself.

So, where do I buy one from? Links or any other advice welcome.

TAR!

I bought a brand new full exhaust for a 206, including cat, for £130 from an eBay wholesaler a few months back. The high street price (HiQ) was around £275.

Replacing the whole lot from the manifold back is much easier than trying to separate rust old joints too.

What car is it?

Exhaust are a doodle to do but you need the car very well supported as you'll be tugging at it. Personally I hate so much weight above me and lift the whole car up onto concrete blocks so I know it can't move. It's worth sometimes looking at the breakers cos folk often buy new systems just before the MOT's only for their car to fail and be scrapped for something else.

Last car I did the exhaust on (2 weeks ago) was missy's cursed corsa, cos kwik fit fitted the system totally wrong and it was battering away at the rear suspension, they'd even used completely the wrong rubber mounts and I had to replace them all
