Hamerite brush cleaner/thinners. Its rum stuff. Normal thinners or white spirit will have a go.

normal paint thinners should do the job without the huge expense

i thought that their is a high risk the silicon that makes the crackle finish won't be completely removed therefore you should be careful what you use the brushes for in future (well thats what i've heard on here about spray systems).

Celly thinners is what hammerite thinners is.

Cheap gunwash is the same stuff, so I use that Its about a fiver for a gallon at my local bodyshop!

I think Hammerite thinners is actaully xylene isnt it, which if you want a lot fairly cheaply is also used for denaturing epoxy resins.
- Although as said, cellulose thinners will also thin it and is proberbly as good for washing brushes if not thinning the paint for spraying etc as it proberbly doesnt do the paint any good.

Cheep nrushes, only put in about quarter of the brush when painting, let it dry.. cut off the quarter... get a few uses out of them
