brake problem (tintop)
Having some problems with the rear brakes on my dads honda accord. The Rear N/S brake pads have worn down stupidly quickly ( less than a month since
they were changed and one of thems about a mm off the metal and the other is about 3 mm.) Where as the O/S look as new in terms of depth.
What do we reckon the problem is and whats the best way to solve it?
Thanks
Mikkel

Check the handbrake is releasing on the worn side.

Handbrake is a drum style inside the disc so nothing to do with the caliper.
My first instinct was also a binding caliper. What do i need to do to fix it?

Its not in the drum thats the problem its the caliper that seems to be binding. causing the pads to wear down. The handbrake shoes are fine

Unless the cable is binding the caliper is knackered ie needs new seals the inner fluid seals act as return springs with age or if the get
contaminated by oil they turn brick hard. -- don't be tempted to try free it off WD40 or similar will make it worse
