Mondeo Hand brake cable

Hi.
Have any of you changed a Handbrake cable on a mk3 Mondeo?
I just wondered if there is an easy way.
It has a self adjuster can this be released?

if its an early mk3 with then just pull on the cable to get it out from the t piece under the tunnel above the heat sheild, but most of them were changed and the self adjuster was done away with and a manual handbrake was fitted with a 16mm adjuster nut above the exhaust .They are very common for siezing up along with pads sticking in the carriers.

theyre easy if youve got access to a ramp.

i drop the xhaust off its rubbers to the flexi and support it. take the heat shield off then back off the adjuster simple as replace th cables and rebuild on a ramp looking at half hour job

Can be done easily without dropping the exhaust if you can get the car on a lift.
