OT organising a change box?
I am running an event on Thursday where I will (hopefully) be selling some photos...
Selling them for £5.50 and £9.00 (I expect to sell more of the cheaper ones... but I have no idea how many I will sell... could be 10... could be
100...
I am trying to figure out what change I should take with me... how much and what denominations..... Can anyone offer any suggestions?
Once I do figure out what I want... can I just walk into my bank and ask for a specific amount of cash in a specific coinage?

I guess if you dont know how many you will sell then you wont know how much change you will need.
Sounds like some pounds and fifty pences will be required.
If you sell the £5.50 pics at 2 for a tenner you could save on change, or maybe 3 for £15 to give incentive to sell more.

Im already offering a discount of 10% on more than one photo purchased.....
I dont really want to sell them for £6 and £10.... it "looks" phsychologically like they are more expensive if you round it up by 50p....

£1 and 50p should keep you sorted mostly, but get a few bags of other amounts too, the bank should just be able to give you these over the counter

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Work on 40% of people will have the correct money which should give you therefore if some one gives you £9.00 the next 4 nine pound pictures you will
have change for if the rest give you a tenner.
I would go for £15.00 in £1.00 £5.00 in 50p and thiry quid in £5.00.
And finally a whole heap of copper cos if all else fails offer the copper to make up the 50p or £1.00 we all know nobody waill take it. Result is
youve just made more profit.
