Tick , tick , tick

On the way to work in the Fury this morning I heard an odd tick , tick , tick ....which seemed to be speed related . I stopped and had a quick look around - and noticed the passenger door wasnt properly closed - slammed it , and the noise went away
Then I noticed the speedo wasnt working ?

I had a look under the back when I got to work - and the (pushbike) speedo sender ....... was gone

Just spent some time under the car putting another one on in the rain - which stopped as soon as I had finished
Oh the joys of kit-car ownership

Iv give up on mine now. I bought a road angel £40 quid off the bay. Sits a treat under my bubble screen.

Hall effect are much better but my speedo doesnt support one.

I've driven my Cobra for twenty years with no speedo - never got round to connecting it up - I know it does 40kph per 1000 revs so it's simple mental arithmatic to know what speed you're doing in top gear. So 60 kph is 1500 revs plus 200 for torque converter slip.

My speedo works, but reads in KPH rather than MPH due to it not being in a bike. Not sure how it worked out so nicely, but it does. When it's bouncing up around 200 KPH I'm actually on the limiter in 6th which is geared to be 125-126 mph.
