DVLA in effciency shocker!
The DVLA take a fair bashing on here & most of it is justified in some way.
A while ago I lost my wallet which included my driving licence. So to save going & getting a photo etc & tried to apply on-line but at the end
of submitting all the details they said they were unable to get my photo from the passport service & I should print off the form on the screen
& send it in with a photo. My printer was out of action but it said I could come back to this & do it later, which we tried to do quite a lot
but it would'nt have it. So, no problem I'd just get the form from the post office & do it the old fashioned way. It can take up to 15
days so I gave it 18 & called them to see what was going on, "We have no record of your appliction" they said! By this time I need the
licence to get a hire car in 16 days so the guy tells me a different address to send it to with a letter explaining the situation & it chould be a
bit quicker. I posted the new application recorded delivery on thurs & it arrived here today! So this means it was recieved, processed &
dispatched in one day, so when you ask them nicely & they try it really can be that quick!

To be fair though I did'nt send the first recorded delivery so that could well be the post office. Lesson learned there, all correspondance with
the DVLA should be recorded!
