OT: Tents for the Tiger
Planning to do a bit of camping this year. So I need a new tent and I'm not sure what's good these days.
With a budget of <£100, what's good in 2 man tents for walking and sticking in the Tiger footwell for going away? I've got a bigger
tent for when I need the space, so light, small and dry!
Had been thinking
Vango Banshee 200
Stormshield Ultralite
Karrimor Alpha
Coleman Avior X2
Any thoughts/experience?
thanks
Ed

My two-man dome tent fits perfectly in the Avon boot.
However, its only a cheap £25 tent (can't remember the name of it, sorry) thats suitable for camping sites, shows etc. - it certainly
ain't up to a 2 - day yomp across the moors in a force 10!! if that's what you're after.

argos haave camping gear on special offer.
also costwolds have a sale on.
NB. re: argos tents - I have 2 from them (well 3 actually but someone else has 1). one is a small one person tent - tiny thing but light and it looks
well made - cannot recall the brand though.
and antoher 4 person dome things with living space in between - again looks well made and was 1/2 price - I couldn't resist.
as ^^^ says beware of really cheap comedy/toy tents
spending £ 50 to £ 100 on 2 man should get you a decnt waterporrf and lightweight tent IMO - survive anyting the English weather will throw at it .
brand is pro action (ok, I had to google)
