At the risk of repeating myself, I'd pull his contact details on ebay and give him a ring.
People find it easy to ignore emails, a "real" person on the end of the phone is a different matter

Oh yes. They also go under quite a few different names (but the packaging is always the same and when I asked them they said that they do go under quite a few guises on Ebay). I was trying to get a 28mm joiner for some hoses (28mm hoses are actually 28.5mm ID as it's the equivalent of an old imperial size). Ordered one from one of their Ebay accounts and when it arrived it was 27.5mm and the coolant pissed everywhere regardless of how tight I did the clamp. So from a different Ebay person (I thought) I ordered a flanged 30mm joiner (ie the next size up), they sent me a 32mm unflanged joiner. Good for bottleneck guitaring, not much good for anything else...

When I contacted them they offered a refund on the second one (the first one they said was their version of a 28mm joiner and it was my hoses at fault) but it was going to me muggins here paying to send it back to them, taking time to go to the post office etc etc. I really should have just told them to send me what I'd ordered and if they wanted the wrong one back they could come and get it....

I spent 14 quid on a load of random ali... in the end I made some up myself out of some 28mm copper tube and some 28mm olives. Much cheaper and not a hint of drippage

8 days is quite slack when they state "1st class Royal Mail" under delivery..... but then I'm pedantic about Ebay listings. Often things get put down as "1st class RM" but get sent out any old way. There is an implied speed of delivery from saying something will be sent out 1st RM (even nowadays) and it annoys me greatly when it isn't done that way. Why don't they just put "Standard Post" or whatever the Ebay phrase is?!?! If they say 1st class to deceive then it's fraud!

I ordered a DVD once listed as "Location: UK" being sent out via "1st Class Royal Mail" and it took two weeks because infact it was being sent out from Guernsey (which isn't part of the UK) via man-and-a-donkey Guernsey Mail.

Trouble is the vendors don't give a shi!t and neither do Ebay.

8 days is taking the pi$$, but there is a limit on when you can raise a not recieved dispute, both how soon and how long you have to raise it. It will say on the options in paypal when you can raise a dispute.

Try giving them a call, no doubt they'll ask you for more reference numbers than you can shake a stick at, but worth a go.

I've used this one, might be the same one:

autoperformanceonline

He had to send the package twice, so he said. Only received the second one.

I'd report him, open a paypal dispute, especially if the company is trading under several names - phantom bidding?

Bottom line is you've paid for first class postage which is 1-2days and they haven't delivered it within second class postage times. If they ingore your emails go straight to a dispute.

Autoperformance are not reliable either, I rang them up and it seems that they are not used to taking phone orders - I actually had to tell them the price of the things I was ordering!
