I want a toy... for £1k?
Not really kit car related... But..
I fancy something fun to drive for a bit... smallish with a turbo would be good..
Can anyone suggest an interesting car that I could buy for around £1k? A bit of summer fun?

Yup - I would second that, can even get a decentish S14 (200bhp) for that money.

I know it's above your budget, but since when has anyone ever stuck to a budget on this forum?

Also above budget, but fits the small and turbo'd criteria pretty well!

On a more serious note, what about a 1.8 Mazda Mx3? They're small, and a have a teeny V6 engine?

ARGHHH... My eyes.. that thing is hideous!
The MX3 would be cool.. but its only a 1.8 V6 with 135Hp... not really that much...

A Toyota celica gt4 is quite a fast car, 200hp, 4wd. A 1990 - 93 would be within budget.
