GSM/GPRS/GPS Tracking ----

Has anybody tried any of the sub £80 trackers that are now being sold on ebay ?

Yes, I've got one, works great but you must take out the sim and put it in a phone and make a call every 3 months to keep the pay as you go sim active.

It seems to be accurate to about a couple of miles depends on how close the masts are to triaglate the signal and has a battery back up, so it still works for up to 30 days if they remove the car battery or kill switch.

My thinking is it better than nothing and I'll know roughly where it is, not sure if the coppers could get a better plot than the www.followme.co.uk website.

Hopefully the latest one should be more accurate has they use GPS as the main location finder.
