evo 6 info and help

a good friend of mine has just baught an evo 6
which has got a strange starting problem
it takes alot of turning over before it starts but once started it runs really well

also does anyone have any info about wallace performance ?
rumour has it this car has been to them

raised compression causing the starter to work harder?

Knackered starter?

Worn rings needing time to get upto compression?

Lumpy cam/ecu map?

oh dear it looks bad

compression check is being done tonight

starter is fine
AFAIK compression is standard (so he told me this morning)

Here?

Could be a host of things.
Maybe
Lack of fuel pressure
Fuel vaporization after stopping/while standing

Something simple maybe, engine temp sensor?

If this goes it will be an absolute pig to start when cold

well we have kind of located the fault and its a bit more serious than first thought
so the engine is coming out
