Engine Courier

Hi All

I've just bought a 16 valve engine for my Saxo but need to get it from Derby to South West Wales.

Anybody recommend a courier or fancy doing it for cash! I also need to know the weight but can't find that anywhere - I can find plenty of advice on how to lower the car or fit show lights :-)

Ta

Wyn

I've had a Rover V8 and gearbox delivered on a pallet before. Can't remember who I used, but it was pretty painless. Lorry turned up at each end and that was it!

TNT are expensive for shipping an engine as they do it by weight, engine and gearbox weighing 230kg costs about £600+.
If you can get it on a pallet then someone like www.onlinepallet.co.uk would be a lot cheaper, same weight £100 and the smaller the pallet the cheaper it is.

OMG i never realised that TNT was that expensive. No wonder the service was good but i was not paying for it . I think the person who was possible had an account with them if that makes any difference price wise,

Good god man, I'm Scottish, I didn't pay that price, that's what they quoted me (this week) I went with the Pallet company, £83 + drat. TNT are about £50 just for a gearbox.

I paid about £80 to have an engine shipped by one of the online pallet courier people.

Just search pallet courier on google and loads come up, all about the same price.

Make sure you request a tail lift and pallet truck either end as well to make it easier!

Had 2 engines couriered now, much easier than picking it up yourself TBH.
