What the hell are these?
I've been clearing out my late Grandfathers garage and he has all manner of weird and wonderful things in there...
Anyone know what these are? I've had a few guesses from people already but none seem to be right...
Thanks
James

Mmm Never seen anything like them but they do look engineering based.
I'm guessing they measure either time or angles based on the theory that the bottom big wheel scales are going 0 20 40 0 so either minutes/
seconds or degrees/minutes.
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

Code wheels for the enigma machine ? They look like something to do with surveying equipment for theodolites.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Do you set the dials right, drop an imperial bolt/nut into the top, and it comes out of the bottom in metric?
