There are more nail heads in the top plate than there are nails sticking though, pic 2 shows this

Are you being serious, or when I answer are you gonna say - Oh I knew that! ?

There is an obvious path (empty section) through the nails.

Don't look at the nail heads, look at the nail points...

I wasn't trying to be sarcastic above, honest! It seems v obvious to me!

In pic two to the left of the handle there's 10 nail heads, but there's only 6 nail shafts. Therefore a void in the middle for your arm?
