Sigh... one of those days...

Ever have one of those days where nothing goes right? Today has been one of those for me...

Polished up my bonnet bump until it was positively gleaming, and started to fit its grille. Put something down on the edge of the workmate and sent everything tumbling. Nice shiny bump lands paint-side down on the concrete floor...
Had to rub it all down and start again... Sigh.

That, plus a few other minor incidents, made me decide to walk away from the garage and wait until another day before trying again.

Anyone else ever have that sort of day?

David

i know the feeling david, i have regular clumsy days - caused by a messy garage. the correct response is to pack up for the day, the incorrect one is to start kicking things!

had one the other day was jacking up the front
and was just about to let it down when it fell back on to the stands
only about half an inch, but far enough to bend the bottom arms my main
fault was i had put the stands half-way
between the inner bolt and the shocks,
doh the weekest point, but after a bit work with some wood and a g clamp all was good thank goodness!!

That would be the day my newly completed aluminium nose cone fell off the pile of tyres.

Sh*t

Cheers

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

FWIW: Today was better!

Grille fitted to the front of the bump, paint repaired & ready to polish up and fit tomorrow, and my front indicators extended...

...oh yes - assorted tarting up jobs done on the car as well.

Joel - as far as bad days are concerned, I usually do walk away in the end! It's much the same with my welding - one day I can weld pretty much anything I want to, other days I'm hopeless - same settings, conditions, materials, but totally different results.

rgds,

David
