earth should have been upgraded to 10mm when the board was swapped, though if he had only done minor works the 6mm can usually be justified with a
simple calculation.
You can spur one socket off a ring no probs, but not a whole daisy chain of them. The 2.5mm cable is rated to about 22A iirc (im not getting books out
on my lunch break!), so in reality even one spur could melt it, though apparently the socket itself would melt if you took the full 26a off it. With a
bit of jiggery pokery you could rearrange it into one big ring, or just make the downstairs a seperate circuit with a 20a fuse.

They have a shop on the street i live, and i see 5/6 vans of theres outside every morning, plus 2/3 other contactors vans. Quote was a little less
than some, and they could do it that week rather than 10 days time which i put down to having more men rather than being a selfemploied indvidual.
Maybe not. Although they have been there 30years.
Who knows. Doesnt sound like its going to kill me.
