Wed 15th. Weather permiting, eclipse of the moon
Hi All.
I know we have several astronomy fans and a few amateur (and pro) photographers so I thought I'd post this.
Weather permitting, a few of us are getting together from my local astro club (SAS) and having a bit of session.
It will be an opportunity for me to try out my second hand DSLR, but I'm not holding my breath.
We might well fire up the BBQ so I suppose that makes us "fatographers".
Cheers,
Paul G

21:20 BST on 15th June: A totally eclipsed Moon rising in the South-east.
Eclipsed Moon
Image: Ian Morison If clear and given a low south-eastern horizon without too much haze, we will be able to see the rising of a totally eclipsed Moon.
(This is asking quite a lot!) Totality ends at 23:03 BST but the Moon will have only reached an elevation of 4 degrees by this time. The Moon
remains in the partial shadow of the Earth until 00:02 BST on the 16th and finally moves out of the Earth's shadow around 01:00 BST. Due to
its low elevation it will appear particularly dark.
