Ebay Help

Any ebay experts on here?

IŽve just sold a faulty SLR camera and listed it very clearly as shipping to UK only. The idiot who bought it is in Italy.

Is there a way I can cancel his bid after the auction ends and sell to the next highest bidder without paying double fees?

Thanks

Stu

You have to ask him to cancel his bid and you should also be able to see second chance offer in your sold items were you can tell the second bidder the item is still available

I had a Dutch guy buysome stuff I put on eBay when I listed as UK. I just got a price for postage and sent him a total which he paid and I sent the stuff. It shouldnt make too much difference where he is. It is a pain when people dont read though.

I would not consider sending it to Italy - lots of problems with 'lost' items in the post system apparently.....

Just saying 'UK only' means nothing. You have to go into your settings and tick 'block bids from non-UK bidders'.
Then they physically can't bid.

That's right, you have to block 'foreign' bids. Happens to me all the time, but is cleared after making contact.

You should really let him buy it as he bid within Ebay rules.

I agree I just had a UK registered bidder want an item sending to Malta!!

In this case though if he can't read UK Only, whats the chance of him having read Faulty.

You can offer a second chance whether or not he retracts his bid, worked for me when a scammer won a bike I was selling.

I don't see the issue. Send it recorded delivery to Italy. If he wont pay the extra tough, sell it to someone else

As long as he can give me a UK address he can buy it.

That was my worry as well. Don't you pay double fees if you offer a second chance?
