I could never stand Columbo - but I did like Peter Falk in many of his other films...

Noooooo... As a youngster I could not understand why people watched columbo, there were no car chases or shoot outs! As I got older I loved it more
and more, love it now Sadly missed

Gutting news. Columbo was always a really gentle way of spending time on a Sunday afternoon with a cuppa. Beautiful the way he circled around his
prey.
It was also terribly sad to see his health diminish in recent years, but positive to see he was still making films well into his 70's

^^^^ didn't know that, thought it was a volvo.
re car: Most of the 403s were 4-door sedans, and a station wagon was also available.
The 2-door convertible was far more rare -- according to "Parade" magazine,
only 504 were manufactured in 1959. When Columbo claims that his car is
"very rare," that is the truth. No wonder information about the convertible is so hard to come by -- but it was basically the same car as
the sedan.
