Pita ebay rant.

Rant Rant Rant......

Just sold somr loft clearout bits

Postage marked UK

And guess what. The most fragile bit needs to be sent to Australia.
I suppose at least it's on planet earth, just the wrong side.

Guy who bid for it seems decent enough and I got a reasonble price for it.

Looking like it's going to cost £50 plus to post.

Almost as annoying as people who say they will ship worldwide and then refuse to send you stuff when they find out you aren't in America.... although to an American, America is 'the world'

I finally managed to source a set of Starion rear Screen Louvres (yes really) and won them on ebay, then the guy said he wouldn't ship outside of the united states even though it said worldwide shipping. I got my revenge though by getting my uni mates to win every subsequent auction for said louvres so he had to relist about 10 times. The stupid thing was he could have just sent the bloody things for less then the ebay fees he kept having to pay.

How heavy is the parcel?
If its less than 2kg, then
"Royal airmail 1st class" is relatively good value (I sent some camera bits to china for less than a tenner)
Regards
Hugh

Yes you get some weird people on E bay. I sold a Linn Sondeck to a chap in Hong Kong - good price and sent it surface mail securely boxed. Six months later he complains it was damaged in transit - turns out he was working in China and just returned home!

And he expected me to make good cos the insurance had time expired.

You'd be surprised how quickly the sales people at B&Q try and assist you after ignoring you for the past 15 minutes when you try and start a chainsaw

Thanks

Just had a look 2kg is less than £25 add Airsure approx £30
The only problem with 2kg limit is that the item has 3 manuals at 1kg each. If they are needed as well, it ends uk at 5kg.
At least it's not my problem, as I'm not paying
