Phone problem!
Hi, i know sod all about phones, so thought I would ask on here. My wifes phone seems to have stopped getting a signal from her provider, (O2), she
just doesn't get any bars, and they have always been good here, (mast is about 500 metters away). I have tried going into the menu and trying
the "do da" that finds the signal, but no luck. Could it just be completely banjaxed, or anything else I could try. Thanks, Ray
PS, its a cheepo Nokia, so no great loss if totaly b****red. :-)
To make a car go faster, just add lightness. Colin Chapman - OR - fit a bigger engine. Chippy

Dial 999... By law all phones have to dial emergency services (the only way to turn it off is to remove the ariel) so if you can't even ring
them then yeah it's ballsed

You could try swapping the SIM card from a good phone into your wife's and see what happens.
I'm addicted to brake fluid, but I can stop anytime.

I've had similar with my iPhone. Good service but no net connection.
O2 swore it was me, but I reckon they had the signal turned down as it works fine about a mile from home.
I did swap my sim for a new one, and as suggested put a sim from another mobile into the phone, see what happens.
If you ring 2302 free on the mob , O2 were very good with me.

If you swap sims the sim has to be from the same mobile network unless the phone has been unlocked to free it to work on any network.
Also if it is a 3 mobile sim it will only work in a 3G phone.
