OT - One for the AutoCAD 2010+ experts...

I've got a problem trying to import / convert autocad files...

the files are created in another program (autodesk robot 2011) that seems to use the latest *.dwg / *.dxf formats

I need to be able to open it in autocad 2000 format, so we tried saving it in the older format - it does let you open it, but its just a blank model

some of these just are fairly simple 3D stick models - anyone know whats going on ?

I had the same problem saving Architecture 2011 .dwgs to older formats/normal AutoCad. I'm not familiar with Robot but if it's the same as all other Autodesk programs either you have to explode the models in Autodesk Robot OR there should be an option to export the file to AutoCAD which is probably the better option. It's all to do with AEC objects and the different software engines the different versions of CAD use not being entirely compatable.....
