It's just occured to me that owners of BECs could paint cardboard boxes like crossflows and cover their engines to make their cars look like proper sports cars!!

Yeah, and they could pull off a plug lead or attach a big block of lead to replicate the power to weight ratio of a 1100 ford engine to complete the illusion :-)

That fuel filler looks s**t hot. I've had an idea to make one out of a bean tin lid with some pop rivets for the studs. I could blu-tack it on the van filler flap and stand back and wait for the admiring gasps. .

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Actually you could cut out a photo of one from a magazine n glue it over the flap, and at least half the people would be fooled

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

Hmmm, that's pretty good, but the conversion's been a bit rushed if you ask me.

Here's what's possible if you really put some time into your motor:
