At least the boys have the right idea....By midafternoon, horns blared in traffic at South Miami's Red Bird Shopping Plaza, where customers waited in long lines before hauling cases of water and beer through congested parking lots.

Alan is on the east coast, south east of the 'circle' on the map of Florida, (Lake Okeechobee). Far too close to 'it' for comfort I am afraid.

Lets just hope, that he and 'his' remain safe!

West Palm Beach is where the 'eye' was supposed to come ashore, which is indeed east of the centre of Lake Okeechobee.
I understand that Stuart was badly hit, which is about 50 miles north (on the coast) of West Palm Beach.
The families main homes are about 30 miles north of Stuart and about 15 miles inland, which, looking at the map, is slightly north of the most northern tip of Lake Okeechobee (about 45 miles or so).
