wtd cheap (VERY cheap...) phone on 3 network?

does anyone have a working phone on the 3 network taking up valuable cupboard space they would like to rid of?
not worried what it is, as long as it works, that'll do for now!

GF mananged to drop her htc desire hd down the toilet, 1 year into a 2 year contract, they don't think they can fix it, she can't afford the repair anyway, barely got a penny to her name atm (that will change in about 2 months), it'll cost her £420 to get out the contract, and she can't afford a new phone, proper end of the world material.
just need something to get her back on the phone for now.
my phones are all on o2, and i don't know anyone else on 3 who might have an old phone

anyone got anything needing moved?

I believe phones bought from carphone warehouse/phones 4u etc aren't locked to a network if you have any of those?

Failing that this is only £40 new

Ring up 3 phone insurance and enquire how much it is to claim - Yes, I do mean even if she isn't covered already...

thank you everyone! and thank you mike for the offer of the LG, might take you up on it, but she thinks she's sorted for now.
she went back to carphone warehouse, and went off on one, i think saying that she'd love nothing more than to use their phone network, but she's not paying £420 to come out of the contract, or paying for a service she's not getting. they've agreed to extend the loan phone she had while hers was away for repair.
she's also been into the bank to complain about the charges she got (direct debits were due around bank holiday times, so it messed them up, didn't get paid and she got charges which put her over her overdraft, so she got charged for that privelege too...) and to complain that she's paying for this bank account that she was told covered phones, and when she tried to claim, told it wasn't. mis sold perhaps? she's on to them anyway, but she's got a phone for now from carphone warehouse so panic over for now!
Mikeb, if anything happens, i might contact you again if you still have it?

as for house insurance, its a rented flat, so i don't think she has the insurance herself? i think its on the building, so i don't think she's got contents insurance? not sure
