Probably one of the most moving days of the year and always brings a tear to the eye , too many very brave people have given their life's for
their country , many of them only teenagers ..... Very sad

They died to defend the freedom of us and others, we must never forget .................

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
Remembered always.
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

I always feel there should be no need for war, particularly nowadays when there are so many ways of communicating, but unfortunately there always
seems to be some power mad nutter somewhere in the world that manages to get people to follow them down a path of violence
As said, very sad that many good young men have gone to their deaths to defend our & others freedom.
Remember, freedom is not free ...
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

True that freedom is not free.
the bookies were thriving as the parade marched by today. Some people even manage to pry themselves away from their sunday mornig pint and stand at
the pub door to watch them go by. I think some are forgetting and have been for long enough. It would not do the world any harm to stop turning for a
couple of minutes really would it??
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

This is the one that always chokes me up:
THE FINAL INSPECTION
The soldier stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his boots were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.
'Step forward now, you soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?'
The soldier squared his shoulders and said,
'No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep,
Though I worked a lot of overtime,
When the bills got just too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here, Lord,
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand.
There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
'Step forward now, you soldier,
You've borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell.'
And I make no apology for my tears.
I've lost three old comrades this year already.
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

Read the above.
Made my blood boil.
Kipling was right when he wrote 'Tommy Atkins'--------
'It's Tommy this and Tommy that and "chuck 'im out the brute."
But it's 'saviour of 'is country when the guns begin to shoot.'

Today is always a moving day for me, to hear mothers & fathers talking of their loss always bothers me. As a lad the British Legion and
Remembrance Sunday was a meeting of WW2 era to pay their respects to the fallen, now I see blokes my age talking about their sons & daughters
killed, brings it for me a whole lot closer.
I have great admiration to all who serve their country, both past & present.
Donations are easy, I texted mine to the British Legion, the other I donate too is BLESMA. Both young and old deserve our support, please spare a few
quid.
