Still recovering from man flu, pulled a muscle in my back from coughing and now every time I cough it feels like I'm being stabbed

ve just had two hours on my back in a mini pond that is the road side finishing up the the repairs on the wifes car,

The brake linning material fell of the shoes and poped the pistons out of the slave cylinders

Then the Bloody "scrapman" decides to pay a visit whilst I am doing the job @ 9.30 on a sunday morning and despite telling my lad 50 times yesterday to keep the door pulled down yes you guessed it the garrage door was wide open.

My father was involved in a crash yesterday so were stuck in waiting for the insurance people. No injuries but the front corner of the car is pretty bad, the other guy's car came off worse.

Seems to have stopped raining which is a bonus, might be able to dry my car out a bit.

I was up for most of the night praying that the water didn't come in. It got 4" up the wall but not in the house. Thank goodness!

Nice clear day was hoping to spend it driving the locost!

But the wife would rather we decorate! Not a happy man right now.

Put the Christmas lights up on the house as I'm away for work for a few weeks and the wife said today's the day. They are up but not on yet.

Had a very blustery hound drag first thing and managed to get a 50 mile blat in this afternoon.

I love cold bright days for a hoon around the back roads, but toady was a real workout on the hazard perception front!

Lots of half wet, half dry roads with the added thrill of the odd river running right across in places

Finished my day, for the second day in a row, by the side of the road waitng for recovery, though this time at least it was nothing major, but theres nothing like seeing the battery light come on when your sat at the front of a queue at a tempery light to go through a bit of road one lane wide that you have no idea how long it might be only to find out you've got no phone and don't know where you are. Fortunatly didn't get to far from my dads work who I'd just dropped off so had to run up there to call up then run back.

Was some relief when it turned out to be loose terminals on the battery and in tightening them up seems to have sorted the radio (Used to only pick up local radio, now I'm getting everything apart from radio2).

Spent the afternoon at my grandson's 1st birthday party.

Still can't believe how quick his first year has gone by...

Yep! Sounds like a good idea. Mine was a spur of the moment thing because the weather looked ok, and there are some nice back roads on the way up to my folks place that take you through Ashwell, Potton and Gamlingay
