i found the application video on youtube and towards the end it gave more info that seemed to intimate that on seats etc it wouldnt last that long, it
also appears to be tinted and wont stand up to constant handling apparently, it also drys hazey. video here:

Yeah I also read that... its only a few months in some circumstances:
How long will Ultra-Ever Dry coating last?
Answer: The SE 7.6.110 formula’s longevity in use is susceptible to environmental conditions (UV / abrasion). This coating will generally last 2-8
months in direct sunlight and outdoor conditions before recoating of the top coat would be required. When used in indoor or covered applications
outdoors, the SE 7.6.110 coating should last for a year or more. Other formulas are being added to our product line that can provide years of useful
life before any recoat is needed.

also listed as toxic, though as its american, that may just be law suit covering

There is plenty of stuff on the market for water-proofing suede shoes and waaay cheaper than that stuff and it don't make anything look hazy
white.
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!
