Word's out that I've got a welder

A neighbour's kid knocked last night and announced that his mum wanted to talk to me about her bed

Turns out he's been talking to my lad who was telling him about me welding a go-kart. He's then been telling his mum about it and she now wants her metal bed frame welding up. Turns out her husband is 6'10" and the £1,000 custom bed they bought snapped a lug - I didn't ask how Also turns out he works for one of my customers.

So, I now have a very large metal bed frame in my garage and the promise of a liquid reward if I can fix it

I buzzed one up for a friend once - I didn't know you could get metal that thin !! It was like paper.
Managed it - just. Lowest settings with 0.6 wire

Given the over-sized nature of this bed, it's been built with 2-3mm wall thickness steel

With that gauge steel, I reckon it was an heroic effort!! No pics, please - the imagination provides much more entertaining views!! And we should deffo leave the couple unmolested, particularly in view of the guy's stature.

Work-in-Progress: Changed to Zetec + T9. Still trying!!
