Very neat. I'd love to have a tiny jet engine like that, but sadly it would be of no use to me attached to a plane as I'd simply make a large dent in the ground within about 10 seconds of launch.

The tiny turbine is a Kolibri from Germany. They are a few years old now, a proper German manufacturer makes one called a P20 which is mega reliable and peaks at 250k rpm. I had quite a few before I decided to go racing again. The noise, speed and smell are great. I've got a video of a fly past on my you tube of a mate doing over 300mph. The world record was 345mph and the plane in my video was built to break the record by a mate of mine
