This forum

Here's a thing...

This forum is a male environment. The (very welcome) exceptions are clairetoo and Fozzie (that I'm aware of).

A couple of recent threads about sofa damage and big bums serve to highlight this. Although if we're honest we love and live with our good ladies in relative harmony.

It got me thinking though...are there any forums with an overwhelmingly female participation where they share a common interest yet benefit from such a broad sense of camaraderie and general banter....

...I'm not sure there is!

From my wife's comments, the best bonds on mainly-female sites are on pregnancy, breastfeeding and toddler-care forums and facebook pages.

The best thing about this site is that we can all laugh and take the wee out of each other for our mistakes, but then they'll still answer a question on the thread size of a maxi ball joint etc, the very next day!

Any other site and half of us would be banned for cyber bullying!

Edit: I'm outraged ! When did the site start auto correcting p155 to wee?

My wife quite often gets read things on here so does she count?!?

I also just asked her this question and she said mums net aswell.

She said everything she searches for seems to return posts on pistonheads and mumsnet! She was looking into hip to gable extensions for our new house and had to laugh at the different styles of responses between these two sites!

Dont panic the same search done on LCB returned a topic with 2 pages of conversation.

LCB - Love (for) Cars (and) Banter!

Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!
