Reset mobile phone

First off I am a technology ignoramus (mid 60's numpty, thats age by the way) but I am sure there are loads on here who are experts. I wish to reset my mobile to its previous settings of a couple of days ago. I don't want to reset to factory settings though. Anyone know how to do it please? I have a Vodafone Smart prime 7 if that helps.

in short, you can't.

why do you need to revert back?

Likewise - I've done "factory reset" on several phones (HTC, Samsung, iPhone etc.), but not aware you can step back in the way you describe. At best I've removed duff apps (even re-installed them) if a problem occurs.

My brother in law kindly gave my son an old HTC phone he had, but did a "factory reset" as a means of ensuring the phone was back to the beginning for my son. Primary reasons being to ensure that any ebay (or other apps) were removed to avoid unwanted purchases.

May we ask what you're looking to get rid of or achieve? There may be another way of getting the same result.

You can do this, but only if you'd taken a backup of the phone at the point you wanted it to be restored to.
