Any builders in the Warwick-ish area?
Locostbuilders collective, I come here as I've seriously struggled through all normal avenues.
I'm currently in the process of building an extension (~6x6m) and detached garage (~6x6m) to a std 3 bed semi in Leamington Spa.
I've tried to get someone in to do the groundworks (footings digging and building up to DPC + floor slab / oversite) for both, as I'm
nowhere near coordinated enough to be allowed near a digger in the vicinity of existing walls/foundations....
Literally have had either no response, a phone conversation followed by no quote, and out of approx 10 people I've spoken to, one has actually
given me a quote, which seems very high.
I appreciate there are more lucrative projects around at the moment in the commercial sector, but surely it shouldn't be THIS difficult to get a
builder in...
Anybody on here who either does this sort of work or can recommend someone?
My back-up is taking a week off work and renting a mini-digger and hoping for the best!
