Furniture spraying equipment recommendations

I have bought a used kitchen off ebay that I want to modify and then paint as I fit it. I would like to get a decent finish so was contemplating spray painting them.

I want to use a decent solvent based paint.

I own a small compressor but wonder if an airless thing might be best?

Anyone done this and have any recommendations of what works?

I have a clark electric spray gun, I think it was about £35. Noisy as hell but actually quite good with a half decent spray pattern, quite a bit wider than a can. I've done heaps with it from spraying car panels to applying thomsons water seal to the house walls. Thought it would go up in flames in no time but so long as you clean it after use it's been very reliable. Little in the way of over spray since it's not blowing gas or air all over the place so good for indoors. I'd use it if I was doing that job.
