PDA (Pocket PC), any good for downloading to Megajolt?

Seen a few of these for sale at good prices and wondered if it were possible to use them for setting up and changing the maps on Megajolt/squirt instead of using a laptop? Any reasons why not? Are the serial to PDA leads available? Would the software be readable on the screen?

There is some software available for them but it doesent seem to work on the Palm unit I bought for that job.I think you need one running windows CE for the megajolt software.
The palm will run the Megasquirt tuning application though so it may be possible .
I just used my desk top in the work shop and made adjustments a bit at a time , once the basic map is in it is easy to make adjustments and then road test a little at a time. I bought a cheap Laptop but it would only run Win 95 and 98 upwards is required for megajolt.

Mmmnnnnn i was thinking of using a PDA/MDA for the same thing,it would have been handy as i could have used the unit for sat nav as well.

Have a look on the megajolt site and search for pda software, i downloaded some from there but as i mentioned it wouldnt work on my old palm PDA but it may on yours if it is newer.Im not very up to date on PDAs so not sure about the different operating systems. It would be handy to have if you can get it to work.

This looks like it will fit the bill

http://ipaqsparker.tripod.com/

Means you have to be running PocketPC / WindowsCE / Windows Mobile (take your pick of names) though....

This includes
HP iPaq
Dell
O2 XDA
etc.

Note - not Palm / Psion etc compatible...
