Extruded Alumium channel
At collage we need some channel it needs to be 150mm wide at the bottom of the U, anyway we need it to be as light as possible (its not load bearing,
so strengh doesnt matter), so far the lightest i have found is 1.4kg/m however their min order is 250kg but we only need a few lengths. Everywhere
else i have looked the lightest they do is about 5kg/m which is too heavy. So is there anyone who knows of a place that does light channel, and doesnt
have a high min order?
Thanks
Phil

Umm, why dont you just make some from 1.6mm sheet? Bent over a block of wood 6" wide?
Simple enough solution?
Otherwise you need to look at model engineering companies like Chronos for stuff like that, if they dont have it, they might know someone who has.

I agree with getting some sheet and bending it. Make it as thin as you like if its not load bearing.
