Saw The Go! Team last night - WOW!!!
Been seeing a few decent live bands lately, and have been impressed quite a lot (Boy Kill Boy at the Charlotte in Leics were awesome!)
BUT.....................
Saw The Go! Team last night at Leics Uni and they kicked ass!!!!!!
I have NEVER in my life, since I played in a symphony orchestra, seen such an act of musical "togetherness" in my life.
They were just awesome! Most of you will have heard their single Ladyflash, and I thought the vocals on that were samples, but no, they sing it
live!
One of the lads was singing, playing banjo, two guitars, keyboard, various other eletronics bits that I didn't even recognise, two seperate drum
kits, harmonica, plus one of those "keyboard things that you blow into the end of" that I can't remeber the name of! Obviously not
all at the same time although at one point he was alternating between vocals and harmonica whilst still wearing two guitars!!!!!
They were just amazing, and thoroughly recommended!!!

"keyboard things that you blow into the end of"
It's a "melodica" Nat, also known as a wind piano.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

They're one of my favorite bands at the moment.
I wanted to go and see them for my birthday last year but the concert ing Glasgow started at about 1AM on a Monday morning, finishing at about 3AM -
Unfortunately I'm not a student anymore.
The album is good too

Next gig trips are We Are Scientists at Carling Academy in Brum, they should be awesome, the album is just fantastic, and poss going to see Graham
Coxon at Leics uni in a couple of weeks.
