will a hydraulic hand brake pass the test?

To my knowledge, which admittedly isn't much, a hydraulic handbrake will pass if it is passes the roller test and is independant from the footbrake, ie must have it's own cylinder/ caliper. You won't be able to feed another line into a master cylinder at the handbrake and the rear main brake circuit activating only the rear brakes. Probably find that pressing the footbrake would cause the handbrake lever to rise if you did.
