changing disks and pads on Seat Alhambra / Volkswagen Sharan

As it says has anyone changed the brake disks and pads on a Seat Alhambra \ Volkswagen Sharan \ Ford Galaxy ?

My 03 plate Alhambra needs the rear pads and disks doing. I'm just checking I don't need any "special tools" or have to renew any bolts etc I take out before I jump in and start the job.

any advice ?

thanks

think the rears will have wind-back calipers, idealy u would need the right tool as u need to push as you turn the piston back in, but can be done with a pair of needle nose pliers and a strong grip, keep plasters on standby

thanks can they be any harder than the sierra rear calipers - I use an angle grinder pin spanner to do them.

Buy the tool. Its about 20 quid, and very useful.

They say that a bad workman blames his tools, but its also true to say that it is impossible to do the job right without the right tools.

If you havent got the tools, its a bodge.
