Bonjour! Greetings from France
Currently in the land of the Cheese Eating Surrender Monkeys (France) so thought I'd say hi having discovered after a week the room with the
free internet access!!!
Out here at a Savate (French Kickboxing) training and grading week so wish us luck for the 2nd part of the grading tomorrow! Hoping to get my Silver
glove grade which is approximately equivalent to 1st Dan Black Belt in Eastern arts.
At a Sports University in Vichy. Amazing place with provision for all sports I can think of. Do we have these in the UK? Amazing weather, great food
too.
It's in the middle of no where so bugger all night life but too knackered after 6/7 hours a day training in this weather to go out anyway!
Anyway, off now for another assessment of all the French sporting 'Talent' in half a bikini by the lake!
Au Revoir!
James

For the uninitiated...
Savate is a French martial art which uses both the hands and feet as weapons and contains elements of western boxing, grappling and graceful kicking
techniques, only foot kicks are allowed, with no use of the knees or shins.
If I have it slightly wrong, I am sure James will be along soon to put it right....

Nice one James! Best of luck. I've experienced that level of training when I did my black belt in karate so I know how much hard work it is.
It's good that you have a nice environment for it. We used to sometimes train on the beach and in the sea! Great days, sadly I had to give up to
protect my hands and because of a bad back. It's a great way to keep fit and it helps to focus the mind. Good luck with the grading.
Cheers
Jon
