Rolling road cock up/results
took my blackbird in today to be r/r with new dyno jet kit at track and road performance in Rainham,
Turned up today at 10am as prev booked 2 weeks ago, to be told not booked in.
i had booked with the man who does the bike engines and he had not reserved the time apparently.
he fitted the dyno kit as we was there and we were told they would try and get a run later on,
after 5 hrs waiting and almost being ignored i asked what was going to happen and what time, i was then almost blanked and no response and then one of
them asked why i was waiting,
the boss then replied to his collegue its waitng for dyno run but i have got too much to do ignoring me agian and not even talking at me, why he could
not have told me this 5 hrs ago and say i need to re book instead of just ignoring me for 5 hrs.
as you can imagine majorly pissed off not because of the original booking not done just the guys attitude on the day and just ignoring me.
will not be using them to sort the car out will find someone else who wants my money.
i hate crap service it costs nothing to be curteous.
finished my rant sorry>

sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. do yo know who (in particular) you were dealing with? one of the two steve's comes across a bit of
a miserable old bugger but they did wonders on my car.
I called a few days before to confirm the booking, maybe it'd be worth you doing this wherever you end up going to avoid any mixup.
cheers,
Ned.

Yes as you said i did call the chap the day b4 and said all ok it was wayne i spoke to.
One steve i spoke to on the phone for directions very helpful.
the other today miserable is not the word i would use.
rude and ignorant. maybe.
i did get the feeling he knew waht he was doing not taking that away from them,
but still will not go back to them as far too pi????????ed off.
good luck to anyone who uses them and as said maybe double, double check your booking,

Not defending them, but I never met this wayne guy, obviously I didn't have a bike engine. The miserable steve does put you off a bit and is a
bit short and arrogant but i found steve greenauld to be very helpful and friendly.
i was actually in almost a reverse position to you, rang a week or so before to confirm booking (had booked it originally a month or so in advance as
it was around the start of the race season so they were very busy) they had tried to call me to confirm but I'd changed my mobiles and
they'd assumed i wasn't going to turn up, there was a slight delay as they arrived a bit later than normal as they weren't expecting
me.
guess you just have to put it down to experience.
Ned.
ps jsut rereading again it sounds like its totally this waynes fault for not booking it in their diary, hardly the rr owners fault but i guess they
could have dealt with it better on the day from the disatisfactio you've vented here I'm guessing you weren't in the best of moods
on the day either having been waiting around for so long

It seems an apology is in order.
I thought Indy Bird had booked the rollers and had phoned me to confirm I would be available like he did the first time.
I totaly got my wires crossed . I am sorry.
I supplyed the jet kit at trade for goodwill and explained indepth what each part of the kit did as he watched me fit it.We did some on road testing
and the car pulls hard to 11k with excellent throttle response.
Not my best first post.

Must say again this was not about the dealings with wayne he is a top bloke and as said explained everthing to me and i would recommend him to anyone
who needs a jet kit fitting. he knows his stuff.
this was only to do with a certain persons attititude that kept me waitng around all day for no reason.
thanks again to wayne and for the phone call to apologies. which in part i must take some blame as poss should have checked the details more.

Don't think he would be able to help with a bike engine but for a car engine can recommend Peter Baldwin at Wilshers garage Wimpole near
Cambridge . Had a couple of weeks holiday last year but was only going away for 1 week , rang Peter to book rolling road after I came back home . Was
told he could do it that morning as he had cancallation . Can't get better than that!
