parts bin converter?
Are there any web sites that show what parts are common between makes/models. i.e The jag x-type uses lots of mondeo parts. So rather than buying a
jag part you buy the ford part and get the same part but at less cost? If that makes sence?
Thanks
Adrian

Practical Classics did a series on this about a year a go and did a CD of some of the articles however not all. It s useful info and would be good if
it could be on line. It might be worth checking the Practical Classics website?

For Bosch stuff there is a full search catalogue (eCat) wich can search by car make/model, engine, Bosch part number and cross references between all
3.

funny you should say that because there is exactly that on the website at the moment, its called the Parts Interchangability Guide (P.I.G), you can
get to it from the homepage, but here is the link anyway....

you may have to be a member though,
hope it helps

Ah! The very thing I was thinking of! Yes you do have to be a member but it is a free sign up and the guide is a collection of PDF's from the
original magazine pull outs, well worth downloading particu;arly if you have a PDF reder that can text search!
