ebay car scam

Not very subtle this one .

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Actually thought this was gonna happen tp me last night. Picked up a ZX9 engine that I won off E Bay and was saying to my brother that knowing my luck it'd be on a real rough council type estate with massive dogs and sh1te everywhere. When we arrived guess what? It was exactly that, then two massive dogs jumped the back gate and chased us back into the car before and waiting half hour 3-4 bikers came and surrounded us, thought I was gonna lose the hard way! All went smooth though when I'd told him to shift his dog. Bit worrying all the same as it is a bit open to abuse eh.

Been happening years, just using other advertising means. IIRC autotrader had a warning about it on there site next to the phone numbers. #Do not go to buy a car without tellingsomeone all the information availible# kind of thing.

The thing that worries me is how much of the cars on here are hot in parts?

A mate of mine was selling a Z900, two blokes turned up in a van, then "lost the money"

Mate phoned me, and being the paranoid sort I got him to bring the bike down to my garage to be safe, he phoned the mobile number he'd been given reached the blokes missus who new nothing about buying a motorbike.

I think his general appearance stopped them from taking the bike there and then. recon that was one theft averted
