Champion British Savateurs do it in Lycra

Well after this post, I thought I better put up the results...
http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=51877

Britain did pretty well, we achieved 5 medals.... 2 silver and 3 bronze.

Both my girlfriend and I got bronze medals.

Britain was one of the nations with highest medal tally.

France got gold in 13 out of 16 categories!!!

Cheers,
James

congrats James, saw on your msn last night but didn't want to steal your thunder and quite rightly so

ps a bit of googling:

"Rachel Shore - came top of her group to progress to the semi finals where she ran into a French fighter, providing a fierce and technically even fight that only just went the way of her opponent."

Oh Yes!!!!.....Many well deserved congratulations to you and Rach, matching bronze medals for you both.......

Its been hard knowing the results since Monday morning, and 'not being able to say congratulations on the forum until now' ....

Glad the bumps and bruises are well on the mend......

Good luck for this Sundays competition ......

Not much chance to rest after last weekend though......

Hmmm a bit 'sus' agreed......I bet their secret weapon was eating extra strong garlic, which they breathed over their opponents............

Strange as it may seem!

But then Savate is a French sport afterall.

There are 30,000 current practitioners in France which means they have a rather large pool to choose their fighters from. Whereas we have about 30 people doing it and half the team members have their arms twisted to get them to come along!

Cheers,
James

Sorry for hijacking the thread James......

T'other halfs mother comes from Ellon, but grew up in Nairn . We went up there last month, and loved it to bits, it wasn't even as cold as had imagined.
So we are looking to move/buy/build a place up there in the not too distant future..... we fell in love also, with the wonderful roads and lack of traffic too, perfection.....and what a place to drive the VXT220 AND the 7........ heaven....

Mc Fozzie

Sorry James.....

Ned,
DLT being 'half highlander', would move there before you could shout 'Haggis'...
I think 3/4's of his reason for taking me up there last month, was to see what I thought of the place for myself.....
