WOOOOHOOOOOO

1002 uses for a dremmel

No idea about being a stone mason, but a grinding wheel on a dremmel sounds just the job I cant see that you would be able to use a chisel or something similar on such a small piece, not unless you want even smaller pieces

Turn them up in a lathe?

Whatever you do, if they are in marble, wear a facemask / respirator. Sillicosis is not nice for your lungs.

Eyesheilds wouldnt be a bad idea either, flakes of marble can be razor sharp

Use a lathe and some P05/K10 grade round tungsten Carbide inserts with a neutral approach and open face chip breaker (kind of like a Cast iron type insert) or White/Black Ceramic (AlTiO) cant get chip breaker styles with these as they are pretty niche.

As stated - be very careful with marble as it fractures/splits easily and prepare for buying plenty of inserts as they don't last long. Alabaster is better for machining as it is softer/tougher which helps the ease of machining.

You could use a toolpost grinder to do the shaping.

I have a simple jig for my 4" angle grinder, that bolts into both handle holes and sits in the quick change turret. Turns the little grinder into a handy toolpost item.

Cheers,
Syd.
