picked this up tonight :)



Trek Y3
Shimano Deore brake levers
Shimano Deore XT front & rear mech
Vuelta Airline 1 wheels
Upgraded wider handlebars
Rock Shox Indy C
Fox rear shock

not had a mountain bike in years + i could do with being fitter (lose weight = westy goes faster)

took it round the block tonight and i was naffed when i got back!!

i can still bunny hop up and down curbs

Nice choice. Don't know much about mountain bikes but I have a Trek 1400 road bike. Great bits of kit.

And what, exactly, are you intending to use off it for the build?

I suppose the coilover might provide for one corner - if you're building a very lightweight bec perhaps

I always wanted a Trek Y series bike when I was into mountain biking - never got round to getting one though.
