Question for Flak Monkey
You posted a link of an awsome twin guitar video a few days back but in the previous post it won't work.
Can you post it again. Can't remember the name of the band and I wanted to send it on to a close friend who's at Brighton IMM at the
moment.
I used to be apathetic but now I just don't care.

The band is Dragonforce. English guys who sing very pretentious songs about slaying dragons and such.

I know the drummer, Dave Mackintosh. He used to be a delivery driver for my mate in Ely. I heard that he went for an audition, didn't know who
the band were got the job and ended up doing his first gig in Japan. Before that he'd been gigging round the pubs in Cambridgeshire and now
he's hit the big time when he's pushing 40 years old! Just goes to show that you never know what's around the corner.
Cheers

If you like metal and orchestral combinations.. you gotta try out the album S&M by Metallica!
All the classics, re-mixed and played with the San Francisco symphony orchestre!
As for those Dragonslayer guys... if they don't play Warhammer/D&D in their spare time then my name's not Ludwig Swarzhelm! **
Cheers,
James
** Or other appropriate Warhammer name- I couldn't think of any... it's been a long time!!!

If you like metal/orchestra The Transiberian Orchestra are also well worth checking out.
Nightwish are good symphonic metal too.

Metallica S&M is the best to go for with a metal orchestra

Thanks David,
Awesome stuff.
Fraid Yngwig Malmberg bores the t1ts off me as does Egghead Satriani. One or two of Satches have a good groove but most just seem to be widdlle for
widdles sake.
But put a great rhythm with impressive guitar work and it gets my vote.
Just MHO of course.

i would agree that yngwies newer stuff doesnt work for me, i downloaded whole albums and never really listened to them. But trilogy was surely the
pinnacle of his work, every piece literally a masterpiece. The two before were great and several after still good, but magnum opus was the last one i
ever liked.
Thanks to flak monkey i heard of MAB, who seems to be as good a composer as yngwie.
